Drs. H.H.J. Dijkstra (born 1958) obtained a BA in Human Geography in 1980, after which he studied Business Administration at Delft University of Technology between 1980 and 1982. He began his banking career as a trainee at Amro Bank. From 1986 to 1991, he worked in the dealing room of NCB/Chase, now Credit Lyonnais, before transferring to Nationale Investeringsbank, where he remained as Senior Treasury & Investment Banking Manager until 1994.
In that same year, Dijkstra began working at Rabobank International, where he successively held the positions of Head of Funding & Structures and Chief Executive Officer/Director of Marketing & Sales at Rabo Olsen Global Overlay Strategies. Between 1998 and 2003, he was Global Head of Liability Management at Rabobank Group Treasury/Financial Markets. Prior to becoming active within the real estate division of Rabobank Nederland (now Rabo Bouwfonds) as a core member of the Bouwfonds acquisition team in 2006 and advisor to Mr T.B. Halbertsma (Chairman of Rabo Bouwfonds General Management), he was Assistant Manager of Large Corporates and Head of Corporate Loans & Relationship Management at Rabobank Nederland Wholesale Corporate Clients between 2004 and 2006.
As Manager of New Markets, Dijkstra will focus on financing constructions where a combination between commercial real estate, financial engineering and asset management is made.
