1996 Winner, City Hall/Library Complex, The Hague

The jury unanimously chose the Municipality of The Hague as the winner for the City Hall/Library Complex.

The jury was especially impressed with the bold solution to a pressing, grinding and ongoing administrative problem, which has resulted in a building with international allure. The project is a tangible boost for the upgrading of the Spuikwartier district.

On behalf of the jury, Mr I.W. Opstelten, Chairman of the Jury, 13 November 1996.
